The incident occurred on a bus from Dharmatala to Sakher Bazar, where the woman had boarded. According to sources, the man standing next to her began to harass and abuse her during the journey.
When the woman confronted him, the man moved to an opposite seat, but his actions had already left her shaken. Determined to take action, the woman immediately dialed the police emergency number, 100, and reported the entire incident.
As the bus approached a busy intersection, the alert traffic police officers on duty were notified and swiftly responded by stopping the bus. They immediately arrested the accused, bringing the harrowing ordeal to an end.
The quick response by the woman and the prompt action by the police ensured that the perpetrator was apprehended before he could escape, highlighting the importance of vigilance and the effectiveness of swift law enforcement in such situations.
